Your Path to Wellness
Express your inner world and gain insights
Finally, empathetic listening is more than a tool; it’s a way of being. It’s a commitment to understanding and connecting with the world around us. As we embrace this practice, we don’t just change how we communicate; we change how we relate, how we empathize, and how we live. Let’s embark on this journey of empathetic listening, transforming our world, one conversation at a time.
Even if you don't your
remember childhood, inner child work can still be helpful.
With inner child work we assume most of our intense or cyclical emotions in the present are from a child aspect of our self that's showing up in the moment (don't believe me? How many times have you thought or outright accused someone else of acting like a child when they are being emotional?).
Our dysregulated reactions and intense emotions that we are feeling in the present moment are always reenactments of feelings from when we were children.
We then use our True Self (a form of compassionate observer to begin an inquiry with our inner child). This allows us to gain insight into WHY WE FEEL AND ACT THE WAY WE DO as an adult.
By discovering the real childhood reasons for our present responses, we can start addressing soothing and healing the roots which then gives us control over our responses in the present.
And in the process, I assure you that your memory of your childhood, whether
you want it to or not, will start coming back.
